This is the same salve that I have had on my shelf for years! My 11 oz tin (that still says "for man or beast") is almost gone so I am SO happy to find it back! It's still my go-to salve for any hurts, scrapes, cuts, infection, even hangnails! I bought the economy size so I don't have to dole it out in tiny amounts to make it last. Wonderful stuff!!!

I bought it for myself it's a salve my mom used a long time ago. Not the same color but it smells the same,have only used on bug bites and it works great.

While the smell takes some getting used to, the end result definitely outweighs the smell. Every cut, thorn, or scrap has healed quickly and completely. Definitely a product I would recommend and buy again.
Absolutely amazing
Krestol salve was a household staple in Grandpa's generation. It was time to pick up some more, which took a bit of doing to sort through the copycats online, and can you imagine the nostalgic pleasure when I saw I could get the iconic tin for three bucks! Could not click fast enough.
When I was very young, my mother inherited my grandmother’s glass jar of Krestol “Fit for Man or Beast”. It eventually ran out and my family bought the tin. Fast forward about 50 years and we find ourselves in need of the best!
I've been using this product and others like Barb wire liniment, menthol suave, etc.for 60 years. There was a store that a old couple had in their home, but after the couple had passed couldn't find McNess products.
