KRESTOL EUCALYPTUS GEL 

The two main ingredients in Krestol Eucalyptus Gel are traditionally known to disinfect and heal wounds. This special blend has been around for generations and is unlike any other product available. In fact, Krestol Salve was first introduced in 1908, the year the McNess brand was started. 

The Krestol Eucalyptus Gel is the exact same formula used for generations, but now available in three sizes. These tins contain 4.2 oz of the Krestol. 

We know that some people have had the 11 oz tin in their medicine cabinet for years and years (and years.) Let's face it, you probably should replace it a lot sooner than you do. The smaller size makes it easier (and cheaper) to replace more often. And, did you ever notice that the 11 oz tins can was hard to open? The smaller size has a curled lip that makes it much easier to take off and put back on. 

Also, please note that we have two other sizes available. If you are a heavy user of the Krestol, we now have a 18.5 oz plastic tub available. In addition, we also have a small, 1.8 oz TSA compatible travel size available in a glass jar. (Perfect to give to friends and family that may not know about the qualities of Krestol.)

Petrolatum, Rosin, Cresylic Acid, Eucalyptus Oil

    I have been using McNess Krestol salve since I was a child and my mom grew up using it on their farm. She was born in 1935, so it has been a loved product for our family for generations. I just purchased a new tin, but am not as pleased with this new formula. Why did it have to change? _______________ From Sugar River Trading/The McNess Store: Actually the Krestol formula has never changed. It is the exact same product that has been produced for generations. The name did change due to new FDA regulations. Some customers think that it has changed because the color is lighter than the color of the product they have in an old tin, but that is because it hasn't aged due to oxidation. The color will change from a light yellowish to an orange-brown over time. Also some customers wonder if something has changed because the ingredient list is in a different order than it was for years, but that is because for years the ingredients were not in the order of predominance by weight, which is required now. Lastly, we have been using the some company to produce the Krestol for us for at least 20 years. We did also change the size so that we would have more options available. So as you can see, there have been some changes - but not to the product inside the tin.

    I've just made my first purchase of McNess Krestol. However, I've been using it all my life. As I write this, my mother still has the 11 oz. tin she was given in the 60s. It was used for everything. Cows with infections, kids with infections, ingrown finger nails, etc. If there was a risk of infection or signs of infection the McNess came out. I have my own 11 oz. tin that I many times per year. Ounce for ounce this is the best healing salve on the market. A 4 oz. tin will last you a lifetime, and I'm not exaggerating. More people should know about this product.

    This stuff was used religiously growing up. Everytime we had a cut or injury, Grandma would make us put on the "stinky medicine". So happy I found this again and have it available in my house. It is a little miracle in a tin.

    This product works very well on various skin conditions. However, the odor is terrible and stops me from using it if I have to leave the house and go out in public.

    Not only is the product amazing- so is the customer service! I love the gel for all things and now have my parents hooked (hence, the order). The mail service messed up my delivery and this company took care of my order. I will be a customer for LIFE!

    I’m 50 years old and I was raised on this salve my parents and I have gone through 3 of the 11 oz cans it is great for cuts,bites,burns, & it as even been known to draw a splinter out and help relieve the pain from a bad bruise. That’s why I ordered another big jar for myself and smaller cans for my grown children to put in their medicine cabinet!
