Have been a McNess fan for at least three generations! From Sugar River Trading/The McNess Store: Hi Jeanie, thank you for being a loyal Krestol fan! I'm sorry you are not happy with the new size. It's very hard to please everyone. When we had just the 11 oz size, it was too big for a lot of customers. We had too many people say they were just finishing a can that they purchased in the last century, and a product like this should really be replaced more frequently than that. So we decided to make 3 sizes: the 4.2 oz tin, which should last most people a long time; the 1.8 oz jar, which is a great travel size and also works for people who want to try it for the first time (also makes a wonderful gift!); and then the 18.5 oz plastic tub, for our customers who use this a LOT. Added bonus, all of these sizes are a lot easier to open than the 11 oz can. I hope this helps explain why we made the change. Thank you!
KRESTOL EUCALYPTUS GEL
The two main ingredients in Krestol Eucalyptus Gel are traditionally known to disinfect and heal wounds. This special blend has been around for generations and is unlike any other product available. In fact, Krestol Salve was first introduced in 1908, the year the McNess brand was started.
The Krestol Eucalyptus Gel is the exact same formula used for generations, but now available in three sizes. These tins contain 4.2 oz of the Krestol.
We know that some people have had the 11 oz tin in their medicine cabinet for years and years (and years.) Let's face it, you probably should replace it a lot sooner than you do. The smaller size makes it easier (and cheaper) to replace more often. And, did you ever notice that the 11 oz tins can was hard to open? The smaller size has a curled lip that makes it much easier to take off and put back on.
Also, please note that we have two other sizes available. If you are a heavy user of the Krestol, we now have a 18.5 oz plastic tub available. In addition, we also have a small, 1.8 oz TSA compatible travel size available in a glass jar. (Perfect to give to friends and family that may not know about the qualities of Krestol.)
